We've all been beginners at some point. Whether it's riding your bike, going to Kindergarten or college, starting a new job or relationship, we get a LOT of opportunities to begin new things in our lives. It's always nicer when you've got some support and a soft landing ;) If you've never tried yoga, or you've been away from it for a while, private yoga sessions are a fantastic way to ease into your practice.
Listening to your body. It's one of the cues or suggestions I often include in my yoga classes. It's important to understand your limits to prevent injury and to challenge yourself when you've got a little more to give, not mention rest when you're tired, eat when you're hungry, and so much more. It's also one of those things it's really easy to say, but not always easy to do.
Power. Vinyasa. Acro. Kundalini. Ashtanga. Hatha. Hot. Jivamukti. Anusara. Bikram. Iyengar. Yoga Sculpt. You can find yoga classes that combine yoga with weights, yoga + cycling, and yoga + pilates. Heck, you can even find classes that combine yoga and a pint of beer!
There are a LOT of kinds of yoga, people!
